Balancing Loop

In Systems Thinking, an interaction where if action B is an effect of Action A, B has the effect of reducing the amplitude of A, leading to a combined system which tends to stabilise to an equilibrium after any change in stimulus.

In cybernetic terms this is first-order negative feedback.
