Synapse Analytics is a toolset in Microsoft Azure that pprovides a single point of access to a range of data functionality:

• Connections to Azure Data Lake Gen2 Storage

• Data ingest and integration flows similar to Azure Data factory

• Pre-Provisioned and Serverless options for accessing SQL Server analysis

• Access to serverless Spark pools

• a notebook-style integration with Spark, supporting:

  • PySpark

• integration with Power BI
